The Ocoee City Commission approved the annexation, comprehensive plan amendment, rezoning and large scale preliminary subdivision plan for the Isaak Malka property during its Oct. 18 meeting. The property is located at 2199 West Road within the city of Ocoee Orange County Joint Planning area. It sits on 5.08 acres. According to the agenda, the property now has a high density residential land use that allows eight to 16 units to be developed per acre of land — totaling 81 dwelling units. However, as requested in the rezoning, the proposed land use plan will limit development to a 48-lot townhome subdivision under a density of 9.
